Regional Support Groups

Epilepsy Support Group: Is an ongoing and open ended support group that takes place once a week for 90 minutes. New members are welcome to join at any time and there is no commitment to remain within the group once you have attended. This group will be facilitated by a volunteer facilitator who has been trained by Epilepsy Niagara. Each week the facilitator will introduce a new topic. In addition to the topics mentioned above some of the topics chosen may include, issues surrounding epilepsy and driving, insomnia, parenting with epilepsy, parenting a child with epilepsy and self care. These topics are merely starting points for the group to focus on and gravitate back to through the sessions. Ultimately the group may discuss anything they like, it is their support group, and topic discussions are merely guides to get the sessions started and provide structure.
